Welcome! Specialists in using performing arts to tell the 'story behind the statistics'!
Starting in 2004, and now into our fifth year of short plays and projects based on real life research - all about how substance misuse, be it drugs or alcohol, affects the lives of ourselves, our families and our communities. DaisyChain started off with a short play describing a Grandfather being blackmailed over the welfare of his beloved Grandchild - by the addicted Parent -commissioned for the first ever self organised annual conference for the Scottish Network Of Family Support Groups. Shockingly enough, this play is still in demand - because nothing has changed. But since then there have been more short plays, and a variety of workshops, as well as developing in the direction of partner-projects that are designed to develop and support the partner organisation, the individual and the family - and over the years we have developed a database of knowledge, experience and thousands of good friends all over Scotland and Ireland. In 2004, Maggie have a solemn promise to 'stand by' those afflicted by drugs and alcohol in the family - and we continue to keep that promise. Central to our work is the understanding that we need to be as good as possible, a knowledge of the responsibility that we carry in talking about real lives, and support for those thousands of people whose everyday lives are blighted. All of our plays are top level, professional productions, and all are available - but if you'd like to talk to us about working together, or just see what we've been up to recently - take a 'wee gander' through this website. |
